Fly Like Fire

I was once nothing but a ghost with bones wearing skin

I once was so empty I just took to the wind

I once met love in the form of a fire

I swear I met the devil in the form of my desire

I burned me self so well I swear touched hell and returned a liar

Flying like fire

I once was naive until I began to shrink

I was a vessel in a dream tell the dream begin to sink

I was once a dreamer tell I drank my first drink

Well I was once well rounded and roled for miles without a flat

I was once on a road tell the road turned to tracks

Before you know it your older and still stuck in the past

I was once an explorer who never found the way back

I was once on a fence that was built to last

I once was on the search for greener grass

And then I returned like a fire from the thunder

Well I burned it all down to the soil deep under

I once found the light in a broken blues

I once was a candle in the wind by the likes of you

If you hadn’t stole my heart in one fell dive

It’s too bad we learn to fall before we learn to fly

You were once a hallway in my heart

Now your just a memory of my mind
